I’m Raffi, from Beirut, Lebanon. I work in a GIS company (as the UX person), creating portals/applications (online/offline) with maps.

I’ve been a developer for some time, and I wasn’t satisfied with the visuals and the interactions of the applications that we created. Many of them were well developed but this was not reflected on the interface. So, I jumped into research and landed on this UI/UX field and felt in love with it. I then went to our manager/CEO and persuaded to introduce this much-needed field and I was fortunate to be accepted. Today, it’s been only one year that I am in this field and I work with a graphic designer when in need, otherwise I design them myself and wireframe and then prototype, with the help of a front-end developer.

- I would like to ask you if you’ve been to trainings: if yes, do you suggest a training/certification?
- Do you have a model/methodology that you use (getting the documents from the Business Analyst and then working on the UI and working with the Graphic Designer)?
- how did you get into this field?
